Recall of Children's Pandora Silver London Calling Charm American Girl Jewellery

In the recent past there have been many reports of kids being poisoned by the high level of lead present in kid's jewellery items. Just recently, Reebok announced the recall of it's charm bracelets. Pandora Silver London Calling Charm The latest recall involves American Girl jewellery for children, produced by American Girl Inc, a division of Mattel.

American Girl jewellery for children including necklaces, bracelets, Pandora Murano Glass Bead 082 earrings and hair accessories have all been Pandora Silver London Calling Charm recalled. The jewellery is mounted on a red and white cardboard backing, with the words "American Girl" and "Made in China" written on the front. Although there have been no incidents reported of lead poisoning, American Girl Pandora Silver London Calling Charm is recalling the jewellery due to high levels of lead present in the items. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Manufacturer: American Girl Inc., of Middleton, Wis., thomas sabo butterfly charm a division of Mattel Inc., Pandora Silver London Calling Charm href=>Thomas Sabo Charms Pink Stripes Bag of El Segundo, Calif.

Hazard: The recalled jewelry contains high levels of lead. The recall does not include jewelry for American Girl dolls. The jewelry s packaging features a red and white cardboard backing with American Girl and Made in China written on the front.

Sold at: Only American Girl Place in Chicago and New York, and the American Girl Outlet in Oshkosh, Wis., from May 1999 through February 2006 for between Pandora Silver London Calling Charm $8 and $12. American Girl jewelry sold through its catalogue or Web site is not included in the recall.
